Abass Akande Obesere, self-styled Paramount King of Music was reported to be returning to Lagos around 8:30pm from a performance engagement in Ijebu Ode when his driver, Femi, lost the control of the Lexus jeep LX470 and careened into the bush where it rammed into a tree.
Though all the occupants of the jeep – four of them – including the musician were injured, no life was lost. After getting first aid treatment in a nearby hospital, they were moved back to Lagos on Monday and are currently undergoing treatment at Orisunmade Hospital, Jakande Estate, Isolo, Lagos.
Thank God for saving his life and others in the car.
