Sunday Ekwe, popularly known as Ekwe SAMPLE, or Stereoman is in police custody for allegedly killing his baby mama, Rukayat Idris. Ekwe was arrested by homicide detectives attached to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba, Lagos following allegation that he strangled and killed Rukayat in her car.
Police sources said, Rukayat Idris was found dead in her car under the bridge close to the Trade Fair Complex Bus Stop on the ever busy Mile2-Badagry Expressway, her remains has been deposited in a mortuary, with autopsy to be carried out.
Stereoman and Rukayat lived together with their daughter until last year when he ended their relationship and moved out of their home. While they were together, Stereoman was alleged to have battered Rukayat often; one of the things that led to their separation. But battery doesn’t mean murder. Stereoman is denying having anything to do with the sudden and mysterious death of Rukayat.
